Wowoo.. Writing this blog on the day of HOLI.. šŸ˜€ Happy, Safe & Prosperous Holi Guys and girls.. šŸ™‚ Now, let us come to the point. MozBoot – SVIST, where SVIST stands for an engineering college name situated in South Kolkata – Swami Vivekananda Institute of Science & Technology. To remind you this was my 3rd event organized by myself. I, Mr. Ayan Choudhury with the help of Mozilla representative Biraj Karmakar, was able to organize this event on the day of 23rd February, 2015. For getting the event details please click here. It was quite a poor response but to be mentioned those 30 pupils were very much interested in Mozilla Mission. What made me happy was their enthusiasm. We four able to make our time to reach the venue within 10 A.M. 1. Biraj Karmakar 2. Sumantro Mukherjee 3. Sukanta Pal 4. Ayan Choudhury The agenda of that day was as follows:

Mission Mozilla – 10:00 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. – Sumantro Rijndael Mukherjee
Mozilla Webmaker – 10:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. – Ayan Choudhury
App-maker – 11:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. – Biraj Karmakar
App-making Competition – 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. (The best 3 apps will get goodies)
New Firefox Student Ambassador recruitment & SVIST Mozilla Club Launch 2:30 P.M. – 4:00 P.M.

As per the proposed agenda, we were able to make the whole day. At the very first Sumantro began with his talks regarding Mission Mozilla & its projects.
Then we took a session on Mozilla Stumbler and showed them how Stumbler works.

Then we went to their lab for the webmaker session and appmaker competition. In the meanwhile I want to mention some names here, without their help we wouldn’t be able to make this event successful, and they are 1. Afnan Kayal 2. Joy Roy & 3. Sandeep Mishra 4. Sourja Mukherjee Even Afnan took a nice session on FSA and its benefits too. Let me show you some pictures of that:

Then I dive into the webmaker session. I taught them how to work with the tools of webmaker i.e. X-Ray Goggles, Thimble, Popcorn and Appmaker. I told them the step by step process. I ran through each and every machine in the lab so that everybody can get it, I would mention that Afnan, Joy helped me a lot this time. Thanks Buddies.. šŸ˜€ Pupils were very much interested and they started making things, and yes they made too. šŸ™‚

Then Finally we dove into the App Maker Session. Me and Biraj da helped the students to make out the app maker project. They started to make apps too. It was the most interesting session of the whole day. Here is some submitted apps. The thing is that at the very end there was a load shedding which made a disaster and we didn’t get the links of the apps. We were able to collect only 2 app link. šŸ˜¦ šŸ˜¦ Some pictures of the session:

SO overall, It was an awesome day. We really enjoyed a lot teaching them so many things.. šŸ™‚ Will love to organize more events like this. Small but Fruitful definitely.. šŸ˜€ Thanks a lot to all my Co-Mozillians and FSAs. Some random photosession:
